Speaker(s): Eric Schneider
Start: 10:00 am
End: 12:00 pm
Location: Eitz Chayim's Community Room
Description:

The prospects for meaningful health reform were far better in 2009 than in 1993, yet the political challenges have been daunting. This session will review the proposals, the politics, and the important work that will still be ahead even if federal health reform is signed into law this year.

Eric Schneider is Senior Scientist at RAND Boston, a non-profit, non-partisan policy research organization where he studies the quality of health care. He is also a practicing general internist and associate professor at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and the Harvard School of Public Health.
