More members and guests came together to share meaningful and memorable High Holy Days with our community than any year in memory. We filled the pews at our neighboring Cambridgeport Baptist Church and joined together in prayer, study and song. The rousing shofar blasts rang out at startling decibels and duration.
The strains of Kol Nidre chanted by Cantor Debby Gelber and the heartfelt personal prayers shared by members of our congregation grappling with serious life questions will resonate throughout the year. Now we endeavor to keep our good faith promises, knowing we will have reason to return and recommit once again next year, when the High Holy Days fall on the same week days as this year. We invite you to come and reflect with us then.
We encourage your entire family to join in celebrating the High Holy Days at Eitz Chayim. Child care and children’s educational activities are provided for 1st day Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur daytime services, as well as children’s services conducted by Rabbi Liza Stern.
