As autumn approaches, our thoughts turn to the season of Rosh Hashanah and the Days of Repentance. We invite you to come and reflect with us, and to welcome the New Year as part of our Eitz Chayim community.

High Holy Day services for 2010 will be held both at Congregation Eitz Chayim’s home at 136 Magazine Street, Cambridge, and just two doors down in the sanctuary of the Cambridgeport Baptist church (CBC) on the corner of Magazine and Putnam Streets.

We encourage your entire family to join in celebrating the High Holy Days at Eitz Chayim. Child care and children’s educational activities are provided for 1st day Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur daytime services, as well as children’s services conducted by Rabbi Liza Stern.

To attend High Holy Day services at Congregation Eitz Chayim and register for child care, complete and return the High Holy Days registration form by August 27th.

There is no fee for members of Eitz Chayim. Non-member fees are $200 per adult for one or all services; $100 per adult for adult guests of members. Those joining Congregation Eitz Chayim during the coming year will have the fee applied retroactively toward membership dues.

Food donations are accepted at Eitz Chayim thoughout the Days of Awe. They will be delivered after Yom Kippur to the Cambridgeport Baptist Church food pantry. Please bring non-perishable sealed foods in paper grocery bags and leave them in the foyer of Eitz Chayim.
