Shabbat Services
We gather on Friday nights for an egalitarian and inclusive Kabbalat Shabbat service led by Rabbi Liza Stern. We use a non-denominational prayer book that contains both traditional and contemporary Hebrew text, English transliterations of the Hebrew prayers, and contemporary English translations.
Services begin at 7:00pm followed by Kiddush and a brief oneg (refreshments) at 8:00pm.
On the first Saturday morning of the month, we also gather for Shabbat services that begin at 10:00am and include a full Torah service.
Members of our community lead services twice a month during the school year and weekly in the summer. We are always looking for members who would like to lead - or learn to lead - services. To inquire, email ritual@eitz.org.
