Join Congregation Eitz Chayim at 11am on Sunday, November 2nd for a conversation with Moriel Rothman-Zecher about his novel Before All the World (FSG), an NPR Best Book of the Year. The novel tells the story of three souls in 1930s Philadelphia—two Jewish pogrom survivors and a Black communist writer who becomes their translator—weaving together questions of trauma, queerness, language, and the possibility of hope in the face of suffering. Books available for purchase and signing
