Literary evening with Esther Adler
Thursday, May 6, 2021 • 24 Iyyar 5781
7:00 PM - 8:30 PMThe EC Lifelong Learning Team is pleased to host a book launch and reading this Thursday night by our very own Esther Adler from her new book – "Poems of Sorrow, Solace and Spirituality." The reading will take place at 7:00 PM at the zoom link below.
Esther’s poems reflects of the three stages of her life: Germany, Israel, and the United States. Esther was born in Germany to Polish parents and escaped as a teenager to Palestine after experiencing the events of Kristallnacht, and eventually coming to the United States.
Esther will be introduced by her daughter in law Ann Braude, an EC member who is director of the Women's Studies in Religion Program and Senior Lecturer on American Religious History at Harvard Divinity School.
A link to Esther’s book is here, along with a poem and a review. We hope you will consider purchasing a copy; Esther will be donating any proceeds to Eitz Chayim.
